Arsenal fans ruthlessly mocked Manchester City by performing the Poznan following their victory in the Community Shield.

The Gunners scored a goal deep, deep into stoppage time to send the game into a penalty shootout at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Leandro Trossard's deflected strike in the 101st minute cancelled out Cole Palmer's stunning curling effort in the 77th minute.

Mikel Arteta's side then triumphed in the penalty shootout, winning it 4-1 - with Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri fluffing their lines from the spot.

Following the victory, Arsenal fans rubbed salt in the wounds of Man City by doing their trademark celebration from their end of the stadium.

A video shows Arsenal supporters performing the Poznan after the penalty shootout victory in a savage dig at their domestic rivals.

Arsenal, who finished behind Man City in the Premier League last season, will head into their first game of the new campaign with a trophy already in the bag.

Speaking about his team's victory, Arteta said: "It feels great. I don't think it gets much better than winning a trophy at Wembley against the best team in the world, and especially the way we have done it.

"It's great if the players are convinced they can beat every team," he added. "I think we showed a real determination and fight to win the game. The reason why we are here is to win trophies for this club and make it successful. I have seen so many happy and proud people."

Arsenal begin their 2023/24 season at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Where will they finish in the league? Let us know.
