Erling Haaland made a gesture aimed at Arsenal fans.

Erling Haaland had a priceless reaction to being booed by Arsenal fans following his substitution in the Community Shield.

Haaland started up front at Wembley Stadium but failed to get on the score-sheet as he was replaced just after the hour mark.

He was greeted with a chorus of boos as Arsenal fans made their feelings known towards the superstar forward.

The spiky reception didn't go unnoticed by the player himself as he delivered a brilliant reaction.

As he walked off the pitch, Haaland held up three fingers in the direction of the Arsenal supporters - a reference to Man City's treble-winning campaign last season.

The Blues won a famous treble in the 2022/23 season, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and the Champions League.

Cole Palmer, who replaced Haaland, opened the scoring in the 77th minute as he curled a stunning strike past Aaron Ramsdale. The Gunners leveled through Leandro Trossard's deflected shot deep, deep into stoppage time, before winning the penalty shootout 4-1.

As for the Norwegian, he has now gone six games without a goal for Man City, having bagged an impressive 52 goals in all competitions last season.

He won the Premier League Golden Boot award after netting a record 36 goals and scored 12 goals in his side's successful European campaign.

Pep Guardiola and Man City fans alike will be hoping the 23-year-old can have another prolific campaign as they open their 2023/24 season next Friday at Vincent Kompany's Burnley.

How many goals will Haaland score next season? Let us know what you think.
