Jeremie Frimpong aimed an Arsenal dig at Granit Xhaka immediately after winning the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen.

Leverkusen won the title for the first time in their history and put an end to Bayern Munich's dominance after a thumping 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen on Sunday.

Victor Boniface opened the scoring before Xhaka doubled the lead with a stunning strike from distance.

It was then time for Florian Wirtz to show why he is one of the top talents in world football, the German scoring a stunning second half hat-trick.

A pitch invasion ensued at the BayArena and the title party really get under way.

Frimpong, a key cog for Xabi Alonso's side, went live in the dressing room and documented the wild celebrations.

At one point, he got Xhaka involved and couldn't help but have a cheeky Arsenal comment.

The Switzerland international came close to winning the league with the Gunners last season before a late collapse allowed Manchester City to win a third in a row.

He is a now a title winner with Leverkusen though and the triumph lead to his colleague Frimpong telling him, "Granit, you came from Arsenal and you won it here! My f***ing G!".

Xhaka returned to Germany in the summer in a £21.4 million move and played an integral part in a stunning unbeaten season.

Frimpong believes his leadership and experience has been invaluable.

He told SPORTbible: "Granit, his experience says it all. He’s helped us out a lot. He’s very important for the team. He has experience at the highest level and he’s bringing it to Leverkusen.

“For instance, Rob Andrich and Exequiel Palacios, they are working well with him. I feel like he’s bringing that experience to them and they’re taking it.

“Granit has a big voice in the team. Of course he’s not our captain but he is like a captain. When he speaks, we all listen and when he talks, it makes sense. He’s been very big for us.”
