Arsenal fans are convinced they have spotted something following Kylian Mbappe and Mikel Arteta's interaction at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony on Tuesday.

Mbappe was awarded the 'Best Player of the Year' award at the ceremony for his efforts for both PSG and the France national team.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form this season for the Parisian side, scoring 27 times in 29 matches in another Ligue 1 title-winning campaign.

Unfortunately for PSG, Mbappe couldn't carry his domestic form into the later stage of the Champions League, failing to score in either semi-final leg against Borussia Dortmund.

At the ceremony Arsenal manager, Arteta shared a moment with the Frenchman and it's got fans of the Gunners talking.

As Arteta shook hands with those on stage, he looked to share a more intimate moment with Mbappe as he embraced the forward and appeared to have a word in his ear.

Mbappe announced recently that he would be leaving PSG at the end of the season once his contract runs out, making him available on a free transfer.

While Mbappe's next club is yet to be confirmed, a move to Real Madrid seems to be the worst-kept secret in football with odds currently sitting at 1/50 via Sky Bet.

Despite a move to the Bernabeu all but confirmed, Arsenal fans haven't lost hope and believe their manager's two-second interaction with Mbappe could be enough to sway him.

One fan wrote on X: "Don’t give me false hope."

Another joked: "Arteta whispered in his ear “Vamos Vamos” this turned Mbappe on and then he decided to join Arsenal."

One rival fan had enough of the speculation: "Gosh I hate how y'all blow things out of proportion And you wonder why we get all the hate."

A third Arsenal fan replied: "Mbappe to Arsenal is a MUCH more exciting move than Mbappe to Madrid. As a fan of both clubs I’d really prefer it, and sticking with Vini Jr on LW with Real."
