Eberechi Eze is on the verge of joining Arsenal after a summer-long transfer saga involving the player's future finally saw the Gunners gazump their North London rivals Tottenham to his signing.
And the arrival of Eze could hasten departures from the club, with Mikel Arteta now focused on outgoings ahead of Eze's move being rubberstamped in the coming days.
The England international is understood to be undergoing a medical ahead of completing his move, having capped a superb Crystal Palace career by scoring the winning goal in their 1-0 triumph over Manchester City in the FA Cup final last May.
He appeared to be set to move to Spurs earlier this month, with Thomas Frank clearly eager to add to his options in attacking midfield following James Maddison’s devastating ACL injury.

The North London club had reportedly been close to signing Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest until the midfielder extended his contract with the two-time European Cup winners.
Eze ended up choosing a move to the red side of North London and with the Gunners now well-stocked in attacking areas, his arrival could spell the end of another player’s Arsenal career.

The Gunners are reportedly willing to let academy product Reiss Nelson leave the club now that they have more attacking options, according to The Independent.

Nelson came through Arsenal’s academy and has previously spent time on loan with Hoffenheim and Feyenoord.
The winger spent the 2024/2025 campaign on loan with The Cottagers and, if the reports are to be believed, he will return to the club this summer.
Nelson made 13 appearances for the West London club last term and had initially impressed, scoring two goals and registering one assist before injury struck and curtailed his time at Craven Cottage.

He has also made appearances for England’s Under-21 side and, at 25 years old, still has plenty of time to improve.
Nelson is not the only player who could leave the club following Eze’s arrival in North London.
Estonian goalkeeper Karl Hein is also being linked with a move away from before the window closes on September 1st, with Werder Bremen leading the race for his signature ahead of the deadline.
