Fans are all saying the same thing about Antony after Gabriel Martinelli's masterclass

Fans savagely took aim at Manchester United's Antony following Gabriel Martinelli's masterclass for Arsenal against Nottingham Forest.

Martinelli starred as the Gunners beat Forest 2-1 at the Emirates on Saturday in their opening game of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

He produced a moment of magic to create his side's first goal of the match as he destroyed two defenders, before picking out Eddie Nketiah who fired home.

Besides his stunning assist, the Brazilian forward was a constant outlet and threat as he delivered a stellar showing.

He was praised by fans on social media, with people online mocking Antony. They claimed the Arsenal star is 'clear' of the Man United winger in a ruthless assessment.

One Twitter user wrote: "Martinelli is who Manchester United fans think Antony is."

A second tweeted: "Martinelli is the Brazilian Manchester United fans wish Antony is."

A third added: "Don't you ever compare that fidget spinner Antony to Martinelli ever again."

A fourth commented: "Martinelli is clear of Antony."

Another said: "Martinelli is who Antony thinks he is."

The 22-year-old scored 15 league goals last season as Arsenal finished behind Manchester City in the table.

He looks to be in fine form and appears on course to enjoy another prolific term.

Antony, on the other hand, scored just four league goals in his debut season in England, having played fewer games than his counterpart.
