Joey Barton Sparks Outrage With His Angry Ginge Comments on I’m A Celeb

Joey Barton mocked streamer and I'm a Celeb star Angry Ginge, reigniting their feud.

Joey Barton has reignited his war of words with Angry Ginge by mocking him for his appearance on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

Ginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, has been a huge hit on the ITV jungle show and has been tipped to go on and win the whole thing after providing entertainment galore.

The Salford streamer, who was raised by his mum and nan on a council estate, started filming himself playing FIFA in 2021 and has experience a meteoric rise in recent times.

He is reportedly being paid £100,000 for his appearance and is poised to be met with a number of mainstream opportunities after the programme is finished.

The 24-year-old has brought plenty of laughs during interactions with other campmates and Bushtucker trials, but also showed a vulnerable side - breaking down in tears and admitting to missing his family.

He also sobbed while hearing his letter from home read out by Lisa Riley.

But speaking on his controversial Common Sense podcast, Barton laid into Ginge for showing his emotions.

He said: "I've seen you cry on the telly! I've seen him crying for his ma the other day and I'm like, 'How old are you?'. He's only been away for a couple of weeks - it's not like his ma's died. Why you crying, honest to God.

"When you get out and watch this Angry Ginge - you're crying because you haven't seen your ma for a few weeks - don't be talking about proper dudes like me in public.

"I'm not saying he's a bad lad by the way. There was three separate occasions where he broke down in tears. That's what happens if you're sitting in your bedroom playing in computer games. Get out, get yourself about."

As expected Barton received plenty of backlash for his controversial comments online, with one user on X writing: "Insufferable man honestly."

A second fumed: "How he’s still got a platform and ‘mates’ on the platform with him is beyond me."

A third wrote: "Is it true Joey cant go a day without offending someone new."

Joey Barton and Angry Ginge's previous beef

Barton previously sparked backlash with his comments about the Sidemen charity match with Ginge was a part of. The game at Wembley was watched by eight million people and raised £4,733,004 for a number of charities.

But former midfielder and manager Barton was seething as he responded to a viral clip of iShowSpeed.

"How is Wembley rented out a week before a League Cup Final for the R***** Bowl? F****** embarrassing. Those clowns shouldn’t be anywhere near the hallowed turf. Especially, the big fat f***** in a bandana."

Ginge responded to call out double standards from the ex Manchester City man, claiming Barton's son asked him for a picture at a Misfits boxing event.

"He was calling us every name under the sun," the content creator said, addressing Barton's tweets.

"At the end of the day, Joey Barton is f***** slagging us all off but when I went to Misfits, his son asked me for a photo. "I don't think he actually understands social media. He can sit behind a camera begging it with his greasy f***ing head.

"The guy's son's begging for photos and yet he wants to start calling us, the guy needs to get a grip of his own f***ing life."
