Alex Scott Had 'Disastrous Date' With TV Star After Secret Romance

Former Arsenal and England star Alex Scott spoke of a "disastrous date” she had with a TV star.

As ever when sports stars appear on ITV reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’, fans have been keen to find out more about their personal life of the nine stars in the jungle.

And Scott is no different, with it having emerged before she entered the reality show that the former footballer is currently in a relationship with singer Jess Glynne.

Speaking to the Mail, Scott said: “From the start, we were very guarded and private because we wanted to get to know each other and figure out ourselves before it was out there for the world.

“Her cooking pasta for me is absolutely everything. Those quiet moments when your life's a hundred miles per hour, just coming home and she loves to cook and we love to sit and have a glass of wine.”

However, she has also previously spoken of a “disastrous” first date with Coronation Street star Sam Robertson in London in 2020, due to the attention they garnered.

Speaking to The Sun's Fabulous magazine via Wales Online, she said: "I never seem to have a lot of luck on dates. My one date in ages was going out with Sam [Robertson], who is lovely.

"The next morning, our pictures were all over the press because someone in the restaurant had taken a photo. It wasn't exactly a great start!"

She has spoke in her 2022 memoir How (Not) To Be Strong about a past romance with ex-Gunners and England team-mate Kelly Smith.

After the memoir was released, the 41-year-old told the Mirror: “I’m writing this book and I want to tell everything. I thought I’d be cheating you all if I didn’t put that in there [information about her relationship with Smith].

“And for me, it’s like that first love story, I fell madly and deeply in love. And yes, there’s that heartbreak and those things, but it’s a huge part of my life, and I wouldn’t go back and change that.

“Because that feeling of love and that excitement and what it gives you, it needed to be in there.”
