Roma have tabled a first offer for Alejandro Garnacho after he was made surplus to requirements at Chelsea, reports claim.
Garnacho only joined the Blues a year ago after being exiled at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim, signing in a £40 million deal.
The Argentina international scored eight times in 43 appearances in his debut season - including just once in the Premier League.
But he now finds himself in a carbon copy situation where his club are keen to offload him.

Despite having six years remaining on his deal at Stamford Bridge, he did not report for pre-season training over the weekend when the players not involved in the World Cup returned.
Chelsea are stocked for players in wide areas and have £40 million man Geovany Quenda coming in for a fee of £40 million.
And in his first press conference as Chelsea manager, Xabi Alonso effectively confirmed that Garnacho is not part of his plans.
"We have spoken to the sporting director, and there's interest from another club, so let's see how it develops," he said.
“I hope it finishes in the best possible way for all parties.”
Garnacho has garnered interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Italy, with Roma keen on the 22-year-old.

According to Sky Sport in Italy, the Giallorossi have already presented an opening offer for Garnacho.
Roma's three targets named as Alejandro Garnacho offer tabled
The outlet says that Roma's proposal is for an initial loan move which they will pay €5 million for. They also want to include a €35 million option to buy, which will be an obligation if specific conditions are met.
Even with Chelsea's willingness to get rid of Garnacho, that arrangement may not work for the Club World cup champions as they reportedly value him at around £43 million and would prefer a permanent sale.
Roma are desperate to strengthen their squad for next season after they secured a return to the Champions League.
After trying down Paulo Dybala to a new contract, they have initiated discussions for Netherlands international Crysencio Summerville - who is a target for many clubs after suffering relegation from the Premier League with West Ham.
As per Alfredo Pedulla, Roma have informed West Ham chiefs that they will not pay more than €40m for the Dutchman and are only prepared to pay him a maximum salary of €4 million.
Another another option Roma are exploring is Strasbourg's Diego Moreira.
21-year-old Moreira, who played for Belgium at the World Cup, is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes and he is working on finding him a new club.
Chelsea partner club Strasbourg want around €50 million for Moreira, but Roma's first offer is for €30 million as well as 10% of any future sale.
Garnacho's move to Chelsea was recorded as pure profit under the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) because he had joined the club's academy from Atletico Madrid for just £100,000 back in 2020.
Although the fee was questioned by some, United inserted a 10% sell-on fee in the deal and stand to benefit if Garnacho does secure a permanent move away from Chelsea this summer.
