Chelsea Fans Order Club To Sign Gianluigi Donnarumma Amid Transfer Rumours
Chelsea fans are getting very excited about the possibility of signing AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Blues have been linked to the 21-year-old by blogger Simon Phillips, and this has set off supporters who are keen for the west Londoners to sign another goalkeeper.
This is despite Edouard Mendy only arriving at Stamford Bridge this season, and becoming a first team regular.
In addition, manager Frank Lampard can also call on £71.6 million mega-signing Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has found it difficult to adapt since leaving Athletic Bilbao.

However, the Blues are apparently still keen on picking up another player who can play between the sticks - and their desperation may be shown by the fact that 38-year-old technical director Petr Cech has re-registered as a player to ac as back up.
Donnarumma would be a fine addition to any team, and is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. With his contract ending in the summer, Chelsea could also pick him up without a transfer fee.
AC Milan are still trying to sign the Italy international up to a new contract, as reported by Italian publication Corriere della Sera, but that hasn't stopped Chelsea fans from dreaming.

I rate Mendy very highly, but Donnarumma is too much of a unique, young, and large talent to pass on.
I will forgive Chelsea for spending £72,000,000 on Kepa if we get Donnarumma on a free transfer

Mendy's a nice guy, he's great and all but he's not elite. Donnarumma's been a huge talent for years now and he's finally getting to that elite bracket slowly. Great deal for us if it happens and Mendy would be a great back up while we ship Kepa out to Vittese

Mendy was fantastic at the start, but let's be honest has been sloppy and poor lately. Going after Donnarumma makes 100% sense to me. Whether Mendy will be happy as back up or not is irrelevant, we are Chelsea and we need to sign the very best.
