Jose Mourinho's desperate attempt to not be patted on the head by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer yet again has gone viral.

Manchester United ran out 3-1 winners over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening and cameras immediately panned to both managers.

Solskjaer patted Mourinho on the head after a victory back in 2019, while Mourinho returned the favour following this season's 6-1 triumph.

Likely knowing what goes around comes back around, Mourinho went on the defensive at full-time to avoid a similar fate.

The Portuguese coach went in for a huge on his counterpart and both managers had a friendly embrace instead.

Fans have reacted to the footage and they know exactly what Mourinho was doing.

United thought they'd gone ahead in the first half thanks to Edinson Cavani's strike.

But VAR picked up on Scott McTominay's flailing arm catching Heung-min Son in the face.

Referee Chris Kavanagh reviewed the footage and then chalked the goal off in controversial scenes.

Salt was rubbed into United wounds in the 40th minute when Son opened the scoring himself after a neat move.

The second half saw United emerge with much more energy and they got their reward via an unlikely source - Fred.

Cavani saw his strike saved by Hugo Lloris and it bounced back to the Brazilian, who poached his first Premier League goal in over two years.

Pressure continued to build and Cavani finally got his goal after a wicked cross from Mason Greenwood.

Injury time then saw Greenwood score a goal of his own to seal all three points.
