Olivier Giroud's insane fitness regime has been revealed online after his overhead kick winner vs Atletico Madrid earlier this week.

Giroud buried his acrobatic effort past Jan Oblak to give Chelsea a vital lead in their Champions League last 16 tie.

Now 34-years-old, Giroud continues to defy age and perform at a top level for club and country.

The Sun's report proves it isn't without hard work however and the Frenchman puts in a lot of effort.

Giroud avoids all processed foods and oils in his diet, strictly staying on fruit and vegetables alongside chicken and fish.

His breakfast consists of smaller meals such as bagels and egg whites in addition to bran flakes.

Lunch tends to be a chicken or tuna salad and pasta in an attempt to remain fit, while muesli bars and bananas are snacks.

The occasional treat meal will be a lean cut of steak.

It isn't all down to diet though and Giroud spends a lot of his spare time in the gym, either at Chelsea's training ground or at home.

Wednesday is the only day of rest for the World Cup winner and his exercises vary from cardio when not playing, to weights, pull-ups, curls and lunges squats.

Manager Thomas Tuchel took over last month and even he has been left amazed at Giroud's fitness, claiming he works like a 20-year-old.

He explained in a press conference prior to Sunday's clash with Manchester United: "He deserves to start all the time!

"He trains very well, he is a leader in the group, a big personality. Even when he has not started he deserves to start. I will not tell you now if we will let him play from the first minute!

"He is as fit as ever and you can rely on his physical impact in the game. It's hard to play against him. He is used to playing a high rhythm, used to playing in the Premier League, and this helps him stay in this high level.

"He is very self-aware. He is in a fantastic mood every day, pushing everybody around him to win every little game we do in training, and being very positive with everybody around him.

"That didn't change when he didn't start for us or come off the bench.

"This is what in the end makes the difference for good players and big personalities, because for sure Oli is a big personality."
