Roy Keane Was Absolutely Furious With Manchester United And Manchester City Players Hugging

Roy Keane slammed Manchester United and Manchester City players for their lack of passion during the Manchester derby - taking huge issue with the hugging on display.

The two sides met at Old Trafford after having played in the Champions League in midweek and ended up drawing 0-0.

At full-time, England teammates Harry Maguire and John Stones embraced as did coaches Michael Carrick and Pep Guardiola.

Everyone seemed to go home happy. Except Roy Keane up in the Sky Sports gantry.

"We've got two bookings in a derby game, I've never seen so many hugs and chats after the game. It's a derby game!" the former United captain vented.

"I'm scratching my head, I'm really frustrated. You've got to go and find a way to win a game of football.

"You don't settle for draws. People say 'It's a derby' and I listen to John Stones 'Oh, it's a clean sheet' and blah blah blah.

"At the end of the game, the staff, smiling, hugging, the players chatting with each other, just get down the tunnel! Cut that. I don't get it.

"But the lack of quality and end product from both teams was really disappointing."

United thought they had a penalty in the second half after Marcus Rashford was kicked by Kyle Walker in the box.

Referee Chris Kavanagh pointed to the spot, but VAR intervened to show Rashford was in an offside position.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was happy with the performance and thinks his side could've come away with all three points.

"We could have won it," he told ManUtd.com. "I'm very happy with the attitude, the spirit and the recovery made from Tuesday night.

"It was a big blow and a big setback, of course. David has made a fantastic save from [Riyad] Mahrez, Harry made two great blocks from [Raheem] Sterling and [Kevin] De Bruyne, I think it was.

"It was great and I have to say, the defending was great. We stood up. We stuck together as a team. We did really well. They didn't create too many moments and, of course, we wanted to score ourselves."
