Football Fans Are Debating Who Is Better Out Of Steven Gerrard And Luka Modric

Football fans have started a new debate that will surely rage on for years - who is the better midfielder out of Steven Gerrard and Luka Modric?

Liverpool legend Gerrard helped lead the club through a tough period of their history and single-handedly won them big games on a number of occasions.

One trophy he never got his hands on however was a Premier League title and that is often used to discredit his achievements.

Gerrard left Liverpool in 2015 at the age of 35 and moved to MLS outfit LA Galaxy.

Modric, meanwhile, has won the lot as a key part of Real Madrid's midfield in addition to the 2018 Ballon d'Or - being the sole man to break Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's stranglehold on the award.

The Croatian also helped take his country to a World Cup final in 2018, before eventually falling to defeat vs France.

He is also currently 35-years-old and still a regular starter for 'Los Blancos' - the same age Gerrard departed Anfield.

Both men have different roles on the pitch but it hasn't stopped supporters comparing them.

It's safe to say there isn't a clear answer among those who have given their opinion on Twitter.
