A team of players David Beckham played with is absolutely insane and proves that the former England captain had a legendary career.

Beckham began his career at Manchester United before becoming one of football's biggest ever stars.

He made the move to Real Madrid in 2003 before spending spells with LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain in his final years before retirement in 2013.

In that time, he played with some true icons of the game and Footy Accumulators took on the task of making one star-studded team.

The team in full reads:

Right-back: Gary Neville (Manchester United & England)

Centre-back: Paolo Maldini (AC Milan)

Centre-back: Alessandro Nesta (AC Milan)

United and Madrid are tied for the most represented teams in the starting XI, with four players each.

Beckham's time in Milan saw him play with Nesta and Maldini who were past their prime, but still well respected figures in the game.

The fact that names such as Eric Cantona, Kaka and Sergio Ramos are missing from the team shows Beckham played with elite talent.

One of the players he famously got along with is Ronaldo Nazario.

Beckham played with the Brazilian for his entire career with 'Los Blancos' and both men left the club in 2007.

They spoke in an Instagram Live video last month and the respect was clear to see.

"If Brazil could have taken any foreigner to play for the national team, definitely Beckham, one of the best CM of all-time," the Ballon d'Or winner told Becks.

"For me, you were one of the best of all time in the centre, the way you touch the ball, could put the ball wherever you want, and without looking at me the ball would come.

"I should thank you for many balls you gave to me. You were amazing."

Who do you think should be in Beckham's greatest teammates side?
