A fan on Twitter has decided to use his phone as his own personal VAR during Liverpool vs Manchester City and it is brilliant.

Liverpool defeated City 3-1 this afternoon and they are now eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.

But one contentious decision involved Mohamed Salah who looked to be offside when scoring Liverpool's second goal.

The goal was given but one Twitter user decided to use his phone as a substitute for VAR and it shows Salah was offside.

Fans thought that the clip, which lasts less than 30 seconds, was a much quicker and efficient way of showing that the Egyptian was offside.

Although some believe that it was also incorrect and an inaccurate angle of the goal.

The goal ended up being given as Liverpool ran out victorious at Anfield over the Premier League champions.

City boss Pep Guardiola was furious at the full-time whistle and was visibly livid at full-time when sarcastically thanking the referee.

Even City's own players were quick to dispute Salah's goal as substitute Riyad Mahrez pulled out his phone to argue with the officials about the decision.

The result has firmly put Jurgen Klopp's side in the drivers seat in the race to the Premier League title.

They are now nine points ahead of City who are in fourth and eight ahead of Chelsea and Leicester City in third and second respectively.

But we're sure that the VAR conversation will continue even more as the season progresses.
