Manchester United midfielder Donny van De Beek shocked many fans with his screaming reaction to a tough challenge in his first Premier League start.
He then got up and sprinted forward to receive ball just moments late, leaving some fans to criticise him for making too much of the tackle.

Van De Beek posted an image of his ballooning ankle to Instagram with the caption 'welcome to the Premier League' - and it certainly looked damaged.

Van De Beek will be happy with his performance, building on a bright game mid-week in their 4-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League. These improved showings come after some supporters had doubted the ex-Ajax ace's ability to adapt to the Premier League while he was settling in earlier in the campaign.
