Angel Di Maria was substituted during Paris Saint-Germain's clash with Nantes on Sunday evening after a robbery at his home.

The scores were 1-1 in the 62nd minute when sporting director Leonardo had a chat with manager Mauricio Pochettino in the stands.

Pochettino quickly substituted the Argentine and both men went down the tunnel, with only Pochettino returning.

It has been reported by RMC Sport per GFFN that Di Maria's house had been burgled with his family inside at the time, with the winger immediately leaving the stadium.

While it had first been described as 'very violent' by RMC, Le Parisien have stressed Di Maria's family did not hear anything and were in a different part of the house.

Di Maria's property was not the only one targeted during their game, with Marquinhos' parents also being victims of a robbery in Paris.

Other players to have had a major problem regarding robberies in the last 18 months are Sergio Rico, Thiago Silva and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

PSG went on to lose the game 2-1 and Pochettino explained at full-time he and his players spoke about matters away from football.

The 49-year-old stated: "There are situations outside of football that also explain the 2nd half.

"It is not an excuse but it brought about a reduction in energy. At full-time, we spoke about things other than football."

It sadly isn't the first time Di Maria has had to deal with this kind of issue, with an attempted robbery taking place during his time with Manchester United in 2015.

Di Maria signed a contract extension until 2022 with PSG earlier this week.

He's made 248 appearances for the reigning Ligue 1 champions, scoring 87 goals and recording 99 assists.

That means he is just four assists behind the all-time record of 103 held by Safet Susic.

Di Maria has won 16 honours during his time in the French capital while also reaching the 2020 Champions League final.
