The likes of Thiago, Bruno Fernandes, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Hakim Ziyech all feature.

The best passers in FIFA 23 have officially been revealed - and there's certainly a couple of surprises in the top 10.

Plenty of Premier League stars feature, although the placing of those names is already stirring up quite a debate online.

Topping the list, as you might have already guessed, is Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City. The Belgian has a 91 overall rating (the joint-highest in this year's game) which is surpassed only by his passing rating of 93.

Next up, at a frankly distant passing rating of 90, is Toni Kroos. The Real Madrid legend is fresh from winning his fifth Champions League title with the Spanish giants, and his importance to the side during that run to the final is reflected in his excellent FIFA 23 card.

Joining the German on 90 passing is Dani Parejo of Villarreal, and PSG's Lionel Messi, two very different players who serve very different roles in their respective teams.

After Luka Modric, we have plenty of Premier League representation - although the order they're in certainly won't please some fans.

Liverpool and England Full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has the sixth best passing range on the game with a rating of 89 - an increase of one compared to his card in FIFA 22.

Manchester United duo Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes are close behind on 88, while Liverpool's metronomically accurate midfielder Tiago Alcantara sits on 87 passing.

Among the top 10 passers on FIFA 23, there is one name that many won't be expecting. Hakim Ziyech, in spite of his patchy form for Chelsea, is regarded by EA as the 10th best passer in world football. His rating of 87 even places him above teammate and former Ballon d'Or contender Jorginho, which is certainly a bold choice.

Speaking of bold choices, some fans on Twitter couldn't help but notice the absence of a certain Englishman from the list.

Indeed, after releasing the list of the top passers in FIFA 23, many wanted to know why Spurs captain Harry Kane wasn't among the world's elite when it comes to passing.

Some fans weren't happy that Kane's passing was rated at just 83.

In recent seasons, the forward has successfully adapted his game to play a deeper, more creative role, allowing him to showcase his incredible passing range.

One Twitter user wrote: "The disrespect this man gets", while also posting a gif of Harry Kane.

Another simply replied with a clown emoji and a gif of Kane, signifying that EA dropped the ball in giving the 29-year-old a passing rating of just 83.

FIFA 23 is set to be released on the 27 September, and it's fair to say excitement is building online.

Do you agree with EA's ratings? Let us know what you think.
