Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny’s Fantasy Premier League team name has been revealed and it’s hilarious

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny’s Fantasy Premier League team name has been revealed and it is brilliant.

Along with many other Premier League players, their FPL team names have been revealed. A list of the verified teams that are made by Premier League players have been released on fplbot and there are some classic names.

Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips went for an FPL classic by naming his side ‘chickentikkamosalah’ in reference to Liverpool star Mohamed Salah. Leicester City defender James Justin was clever with his team name as he incorporated his own name in it. His team is called ‘Just In Time’.

However, the one that got the most attention was Arsenal man Elneny’s team name, which is just simply ‘Winner team’. Whilst his fellow Gunners teammates Rob Holding and Eddie Nketiah called their teams ‘Shambles FC’ and ‘Steady FC’ respectively. You can see the full list here

Data from fplbot also revealed whom each player chose as their captain, Arsenal man Holding chose to captain Harry Kane, who plays for the Gunners' local rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Leeds United frontman Patrick Bamford meanwhile was full of confidence in his abilities as he captained himself ahead of his side’s clash against Leicester.

It comes as no surprise that City star Erling Haaland and Liverpool’s Salah were the popular picks for the captain.

Haaland has hit the ground running straight away since his summer move from Borussia Dortmund to the Etihad stadium. The Norway superstar has already scored 20 goals after just 14 matches, with 15 coming in the Premier League.

The only teams to prevent the 22-year-old from finding the back of the net are newly promoted Bournemouth and City’s closest challengers of the past few seasons, Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s men also ended Pep Guardiola’s side’s unbeaten start to the 22/23 campaign after a wonderful Salah goal secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the champions at Anfield on Sunday evening.

With City not involved in the latest game week, the decision to captain Haaland will backfire for many players.
