Fans Think Clip Proves Diego Simeone Will 'Turn Joao Felix Into A Right Back'

Fans have revealed that they're worried Diego Simeone will 'ruin' Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix and 'turn him into a right back,' after a clip of the player in training.

Simeone has done wonders as manager of Atletico, twice overcoming the dominance in La Liga of Barcelona and Real Madrid to win the title, and twice getting to the Champions League final, only to lose to Real.

Despite that, some people aren't huge fans of the Argentine's management style, either because of how he is or how his team is perceived to play.

An example of his behaviour could be seen in pre season, when he stormed the pitch during a 'friendly' against Feyenoord in the summer.

When it comes to tactics some believe that Simeone isn't attacking enough, or specifically trusting of creative players like Felix.

A clip of Felix practicing his defensive work in training has led to some fans worrying about the future of the 21-year-old, especially with the return of Antoine Griezmann to the team.

However, there has been plenty of counter argument from fans, with many pointing out that Felix needs to improve his pressing up front to fit better into Simeone's team.

The former Atleti midfielder likes his forwards to work hard and even a highly talent forward like Griezmann was able to thrive at his first spell in the Spanish capital.

Luis Suarez is another prime example of a player who hassles and harries defenders upfront and his signing last summer helped propel the club to it's second La Liga title under Simeone.

Whilst Felix hasn't always set the world on fire since moving to the Wanda Metropolitano in 2019, for a staggering £113 million, he has still looked impressive at times and will improve.
