Sunderland Break English Record For The Longest Home Winless Streak

Struggling Sunderland have broken an unwanted record, having gone 20 games without a win at home.

The Black Cats are bottom of the Championship, without a manager, and following today's 2-2 draw with Millwall at the Stadium of Light, they now hold the record for the longest ever winless streak in English football.

They aren't too far off going a whole year without winning a game of football on home soil, with their last victory being a 1-0 win over Watford in 17 December 2016, when David Moyes was in charge.

11 defeats and nine draws in all competitions has been the dire run of form since then, making it a pretty disastrous experience for any Sunderland fan attending the home matches.
