Every Argentina Player Wanted A Picture With Lionel Messi And The Finalissima Trophy

Argentina players turned into Lionel Messi fanboys after winning the Finalissima against Italy at Wembley.

Lionel Messi was bombarded with photo requests from Argentina players and officials after the Finalissima trophy win against Italy.

Argentina beat Italy 3-0 at Wembley in the huge battle between the Copa America and Euro 2020 winners.

Argentina emerged victorious courtesy of goals from Lautaro Martinez, Angel Di Maria and Paulo Dybala, with talisman and captain Messi dropping a masterclass at England's national stadium.

Messi assisted two of the three goals, including a scintillating run where he destroyed Giovanni Di Lorenzo to put it on a plate for Martinez to open the scoring.

And after the game, literally every man and his dog wanted a picture with Messi and the coveted trophy.

The official Copa America Twitter account posted a video of Messi's many picture requests in the Argentina celebrations.

Teammates like Paulo Dybala, Juan Foyth and Nicolas Otamendi all wanted that all-important snap to show their grandkids in the future.

And some officials were also desperate to get a photo with the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.

They would genuinely come up one by one and pose next to Messi, who was clutching his second official bit of silverware with the national team.

To his credit, Messi had time for all his fans/teammates and happily took pictures with a lot of his peers.

This exact situation has happened before, as last year Barcelona players all wanted a picture with him following the Copa Del Rey final win over Athletic Bilbao in Seville.

It was a second triumph at Wembley for Messi, who lifted the Champions League trophy for the second time in his career after starring in Barcelona's 3-1 win over Manchester United in 2011.

He was hungry than ever in his latest outing after a fairly underwhelming season with Paris Saint-Germain and thoroughly enjoyed the victory.

"It was a beautiful final, full of Argentines," Messi said post-match.

"What we experienced here was beautiful.

"We’re here to fight anyone. Today was a nice test because Italy is a great team.

"We knew it was going to be a nice match and a nice setting to be champion."
