Erling Haaland was unaware of his own strength as handshake left Man City staff member grimacing in pain

Erling Haaland appeared unaware of his own strength after a high five during Manchester City's title celebrations appeared too strong.

Erling Haaland appeared to shock a member of Manchester City staff by his own strength after a brutal high five during his side's title-winning celebrations.

City sealed their latest Premier League title win on Saturday when second-placed Arsenal lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest and lifted the trophy on Sunday evening after beating Chelsea in their own league game.

Following the game the celebrations got underway, including the trophy presentation on the pitch and an invasion onto the Eithad surface from a large group of fans.

When the team were congratulated by what seemed to be off-the-field members of staff at the club, Haaland put a little too much force into one of his high-fives.

Footage shared on Sky Sports saw the City players make their way down a line of staff members to engage with them upon their title win, with Jack Grealish the centre of attention as he grabbed several staff and wore a huge smile across his face.

Ederson, John Stones, Nathan Ake and Bernardo Silva were among those to make their way down the line before Haaland as City fans stayed in anticipation of more celebration.

Haaland then arrived, clearly forcefully high-fiving those that greeted him. When he passed one woman, though, things didn't go to plan.

The 52-goal forward used serious force to greet the woman in question, and she appeared shocked as she grimaced in pain as if to signal that the high-five was strong. She was fine, however, and continued to greet the other players.

Fans saw the funny side of things on social media, too, with one Twitter user posting: "Haaland def just broke that girls hand with that high five lolol."

Another added: "Haaland almost broke that woman's fingers."

The Norwegian has been the centre of the City team this season, breaking the record for the most goals scored in a Premier League season in his first year in England.

His explosive power has been a key feature of his success and goal scoring, and it appears that's still a key feat in Haaland's life when he's not playing.
