Instead, the 52-year-old wants to focus on Man United ahead of the 2022/23 season.

"Tomorrow there will be a party with the [Ajax] staff, but I am not going to Curacao [a Dutch Caribbean island]," he said.

"I think that's understandable. There is a lot of work to do there [at Manchester United]. That is the case with every club.

"A number of things still need to be organised in the staff and also in the selection. We will be working intensively on this from tomorrow."

Ten Hag was also asked whether he was ready for the 'sharks' in the English press to which he replied: "I don’t see them like that. I don’t see you like that too, nobody.

"What it’s all about is the dressing room, you need to be able to manage the dressing room. You have to make it function. That’s how you win games."

Man United finish their wretched Premier League campaign at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

And the Dutchman could watch his new side from the stands of Selhurst Park.

The Athletic report that it has not yet been decided whether he will attend Man United's final game of the term.

Ten Hag has also identified the players who are firmly in his plans for next season.

He's also eyeing new recruits as he begins his Man United rebuild.
