Ten Hag is fresh off leading Ajax to the Eredivisie title as he took charge of his final game at the club on Sunday.
He plans to get straight to work in his new job at Old Trafford, having revealed that he will NOT be travelling with Ajax to their end-of-season trip to Curacao.
Instead, the 52-year-old wants to focus on Man United ahead of the 2022/23 season.
"Tomorrow there will be a party with the [Ajax] staff, but I am not going to Curacao [a Dutch Caribbean island]," he said.
"I think that's understandable. There is a lot of work to do there [at Manchester United]. That is the case with every club.
"A number of things still need to be organised in the staff and also in the selection. We will be working intensively on this from tomorrow."
Ten Hag was also asked whether he was ready for the 'sharks' in the English press to which he replied: "I don’t see them like that. I don’t see you like that too, nobody.
"What it’s all about is the dressing room, you need to be able to manage the dressing room. You have to make it function. That’s how you win games."
