Erik ten Hag delivered a spine-tingling speech following Manchester United's final Premier League game of the season.

The Red Devils came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes scoring to secure their side all three points.

The victory saw Man United finish in third place in the table, only behind champions Manchester City and Arsenal - thus securing Champions League football for next season.

In his debut season following his arrival last summer, Ten Hag has steered the club back to Europe's premier competition and bagged the Carabao Cup, having beaten Newcastle United earlier in the campaign.

He could also claim the FA Cup, with a Wembley Stadium showdown against Man City on deck this weekend.

And the Dutch boss referenced the massive clash against their cross-town rivals when he addressed the fans in attendance.

He thanked the Man United players and staff as well as the supporters before he issued a rallying cry ahead of their cup final against the Blues.

"First of all, I want to say thank you to our players," he said. "I think they played a brilliant season. Thank you to the staff and I also want to thank you all. Thank you for your contribution, backing us and the support.

"It was great, so thank you. But when I say these words, there's still one game to go and I'm sure these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week. I'm sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford."

Man United fans loved Ten Hag's speech as they made their feelings known on social media.

One Twitter user wrote: "This man will be loved like Sir Alex Ferguson."

A second tweeted: "You can just tell how much Ten hag loves being here."

A third added: "This is beautiful, I had goosebumps all over me while watching this."

A fourth said: "Wish him so much success, hope he makes the right decisions this summer."

Another commented: "I don’t care about next weekend. This man made me feel the love I had sometime ago. I look towards the future now."
