England manager Gareth Southgate has reportedly been offered a new job - despite not yet deciding on his future in his current role.

The Three Lions lost 2-1 to Spain in the Euro 2024 final, with many believing that to be Southgate's final game in charge of the England national team after nearly eight years.

In his post-match interview, Southgate said that 'now is not the time' to give a firm verdict on whether he will stay in his position, and he added that he would take time to make that final decision.

The 53-year-old has managed England to two major finals, as well as a World Cup semi-final and quarter-final. Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has claimed that the former Middlesbrough defender is 'ready for a club job' once he leaves the England role.

Southgate has only previously managed one club, spending over two years as Middlesbrough boss between 2006 and 2009.

In the gap between being sacked as Boro manager and taking up the England U21 role in 2013, he was a regular feature on ITV coverage of England matches and the Champions League as a pundit.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, ITV have left the door open for Southgate to make a return to their screens if he decides to leave his role as England manager.

It is claimed that he 'has admirers at a high level within ITV', with the broadcaster keen to ensure that his addition becomes 'a reality' should that opportunity present itself.

Regular ITV pundits Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Ian Wright have all spoken highly of Southgate, particularly during the latter stages of Euro 2024.

Speaking ahead of the final in Berlin, Keane said: "We know it's all extremes at the elite level - you're a genius one week, you're a clown the following week.

"He's stayed calm throughout all of this. He's been the calmest man I've seen throughout the tournament.

"Gareth's a class guy. But there's a lot of steel about him. If tonight is his last game as England manager, I couldn't begrudge anything good that happens to Gareth - he's a top quality guy, and I wish him nothing but the best.

"Sometimes you want your manager to show a bit of madness. He has that steel - which you'll probably see in the dressing room that we don't see in the public eye.

"He's done an amazing job. We forget when he took the job, there were huge question marks over him. But he's brought players together, and that belief, this group of players have belief to go out there and compete with anybody.
