Cole Palmer has two national team flags stitched into his football boots, even when he's playing for England.
The 22-year-old, who was one of Chelsea's standout performer last season, despite a dip in form towards the end of the 2024/25 campaign, will likely feature for Thomas Tuchel's side in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Having missed Tuchel's first camp in March after picking up a muscle injury in training, Palmer wants to make an impression when they face Andorra in Barcelona, as well as Senegal in Nottingham on Tuesday.

“It’s about playing well at my club... hopefully people can see it and I can turn into a starter for England,” Palmer told The Guardian. “Last season I played all wide [in midfield] and this season I’ve moved [more centrally]. Wherever he [Tuchel] puts me, I’ll play.”
Palmer will be hoping to impress whilst wearing a pair of boots that feature both the England and Saint Kitts and Nevis flag.
The winger has previously explained his decision to wear the St. Kitts and Nevis flag on his feet during games.

Speaking to The Players' Tribune about his father, the winger said: "He used to say, 'No point trying to shoot if you can’t keep hold of the ball in the first place.'
"We would do that every single day whatever the weather — and my dad’s family is from St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. He hates going out in the cold. But he'd do it for me anyway. That’s why I got the St Kitts flag on my boots, as a little tribute to him and his family."
Palmer grew up in South Manchester after his grandfather, Sterry Cole, left St. Kitts and Nevis in 1960 to start a new life in England, and clearly his heritage serves as a big influence on his identity.

Cole's father, Jermaine, has previously gave an insight into how popular his son is in St. Kitts and Nevis.
"I went over for the first time in January and it was great," he told The Telegraph.
"Speaking to my dad’s cousins who are still over there they said the island is going crazy about Cole. So when he does go himself he’s probably going to need a police escort! They’re all Chelsea fans over there now!”
