Eden Hazard has been linked with a shock return to Lille, with the club's president hinting at a sensational transfer.
Newcastle United and West Ham United, among others, have been mooted as potential destinations for the playmaker.
Not to mention Lille who appear to have made a play for the 30-year-old, with Olivier Letang talking up a switch for their former star man.
Asked about resigning Hazard, Letang told L'Equipe: "A return of Hazard to Lille? It’s not impossible."
He added: "I’ll go to Spain if necessary. It could appear something impossible.
"Evidently, Hazard is an incredible player with a lot of quality. Now, he is a Real Madrid player and he is under contract with Real Madrid."
Hazard began his professional career with the French side and spent two years developing in the club's local sport schools.
He had a five-year spell with the first-team, making a name for himself in the 2011/12 season where he scored 20 league goals.
Chelsea then came calling and snapped him up, with Hazard going onto enjoy a legendary career at Stamford Bridge.
He enjoyed a trophy laden seven-year spell, winning two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and two Europa League titles.
The Belgium international signed for Real in an initial £89 million deal, but has failed to make an impression at the club.
He's been blighted with injuries, scoring just five goals in 55 games.
Could a move back to France resurrect his career?
