Arsenal and Tottenham are both battling for the services of Crystal Palace hero Eberechi Eze as the pair seek to lure the England international to north London.
Eze etched his name into the Palace history books having scored the winning goal in the Eagles’ FA Cup win over Manchester City in May.
The 27-year-old was also part of the Palace squad that won the Community Shield on Sunday as the south London side twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Liverpool at Wembley.
Oliver Glasner’s side secured further silverware as they beat the Reds 3-2 on penalties, though Eze did miss one of Palace’s spotkicks.

Even so, Eze is a man in demand this summer and while it had been reported that Arsenal were the frontrunners for the Palace man, Spurs have since reignited their interest in the creative star.
Spurs were linked with Eze earlier in the year but cooled their interest, which presented Arsenal with the chance to steal a march on the Europa League winners.
Thomas Frank’s side did look to move for Morgan Gibbs-White, a switch that eventually fell through following the threat of legal action from Nottingham Forest despite Spurs triggering the player's release clause.
Spurs back in for Eze after Maddison blow
However, Spurs were dealt a cruel blow in pre-season as James Maddison suffered a serious ACL injury in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle.

Dejan Kulusevski's prolonged absence following patella surgery earlier this year, combined with a failure to sign Gibbs-White, has seen Spurs reportedly make their move for Eze as they look to add a number 10 to the ranks.

Eze currently has a £68m release clause in his contract, which contrary to previous reports, expires on Friday (August 15th).
Neither side are willing to match that clause in Eze’s contract, with Arsenal needing to sell players before they can firm up their interest in the Palace hero having spent big to bolster their attack with the additions of Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

The Gunners are looking for potential buyers for Leandro Trossard, but a lack of interest in the Belgian has opened the door for Spurs to hijack the deal.
Arsenal is Palace star's preferred destination
Even so, Spurs are said to be behind Arsenal in the race for Eze, with the Guardian reporting that the Emirates is the player’s preferred destination if he does leave Selhurst Park.
Eze did, after all, come through the ranks at Arsenal before leaving their academy at the age of 13.

A fresh update from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, though, suggests that Eze is also "keen" on a switch to Spurs.
“Eberechi Eze, keen on Tottenham move as Palace are informed of his desire to play Champions League football,” Fab posted on his X account.

“Deal now depends on club to club talks but Spurs are seriously working on it, as reported earlier.”
Palace, who lost their CAS appeal against demotion to the UEFA Conference League on Monday, may be forced into a number of high-profile sales between now and the transfer deadline on September 1st.
Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Eze are among those who have been linked with the Selhurst Park exit this summer.
