While we're sure we can all agree there's no better combo than football and pizza, there's also nothing more annoying than getting tomato sauce down your brand-new England shirt while celebrating a last-minute winner or screaming at VAR. Thankfully, the clever chaps at Domino's are here to save the day with the launch of the world's first football shirt made from serviettes. Yep, you read that correctly.

Dubbed the 'Shirtiette' (see, we told you they were clever), these unique football shirts are made from absorbent napkin material designed to soak up pizza sauce spillages and beer splashes, meaning fans can now wear their matchday stains with pride this summer.

And the best bit? Domino's is giving them away for free to England and Scotland supporters.

Yep, you read that correctly too.

If you're still not convinced, Scotland legend Gary McAllister and England hero Terry Butcher have already put the Shirtiette through its paces. Butcher even recreated his iconic blood-stained appearance from 1989 using pizza sauce instead – and judging by the results, it passed with flying colours.

“I’ve had my fair share of big red spills on shirts, so I know how messy football can be,” he said. “The Shirtiette is exactly what any real fan needs when watching at home, with a pizza slice in one hand and a dip pot in the other.”

McAllister was equally impressed, adding: "This will be a huge summer for Scotland and I'm sure fans will be going all out for the tournament. We all want supporters to give everything when watching their team, embracing the mess that comes with it. With the help of the Domino's Shirtiette, each stain is a matchday memory to be worn with pride."

Whether you're celebrating a screamer from outside the box, suffering through a nerve-shredding penalty shootout or simply demolishing a large pepperoni on the sofa, the Shirtiette means you won't have to worry about keeping your kit spotless. In fact, getting covered in sauce might just be part of the matchday experience.

Get yours online, where where England and Scotland fans can apply to claim a limited-edition England or Scotland ‘Shirtiette’. Entries are open until 19th June.
