A video of Darwin Nunez taking a ridiculously wayward shot during Uruguay training has gone viral and fans have reacted.

Nunez has failed to hit the ground running at Liverpool since his big-money move from Benfica.

He has just one Premier League goal to his name this season, having impressed against Manchester City in a cameo appearance in the Community Shield.

The 23-year-old has the chance to rediscover his form with his national team, with Uruguay set to take part in two friendlies.

But a clip of Nunez in training doesn't bode well.

A video has surfaced of Nunez appearing to take a shot at goal, but missing the target by some distance.

Naturally, Nunez's attempt in training sent social media wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "His clips are so bad they are almost impressive."

A second tweeted: "What was the thing he was trying to achieve."

A third added: "That surely can't be real."

Another commented: "How did Benfica scam Liverpool this bad."

Nunez is in line to feature for Uruguay during the international break, as they have matches against Iran and Canada on deck.

And he'll be looking to add to his Liverpool tally when they resume their campaign against Brighton on October 1.
