Fans have been reacting after Cristiano Ronaldo was left fuming by a decision during Al Nassr’s clash with Al Raed.

After his second stint with Manchester United ended in a bitter manner, Ronaldo made a big money move to the Middle East by signing for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.

Ever since his arrival at the Saudi Professional League, the popularity of Saudi football has grown massively.

Ronaldo was in action for Al Nassr as they took on Al Raed on Friday evening.

During the match, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was left seething after he was denied a penalty.

Ronaldo was seen throwing his arms up in the air as he was shocked by the referee’s decision.

Footage of the incident was then posted on social media, which has left fans divided.

One said: “Disgrace of a decision.. HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE IN CHARGE.”

Another tweeted: “Never a penalty, great dive!”

A third fan added: “One of the few good things about Messi. He doesn't dive. Literally every other footballer does it so can't blame Ronaldo. But credit where credits due.”

Someone else wrote: “Yeh that’s a peno all day.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “He would have got the pen of he wasn’t half way down before any contact was made. Great call by the ref.”

However, the penalty incident ultimately had no effect on the result of the match as Al Nassr came away 4-0 winners.

Ronaldo opened the scoring after just four minutes before goals by Abdulrahman Abdullah Ghareeb, Mohammed Maran and Abdulmajeed Al Sulaiheem sealed the comfortable victory.

As a result of the win, Al Nassr is now only three points behind league leaders Al Ittihad, who have a game in hand.

Overall, it has been a decent first season in Saudi for Ronaldo.

To date, the Portuguese legend has made 15 appearances for Al Nassr across all competitions, scoring 12 and assisting two.
