But the talented right-back could have bagged a lot more assists if it wasn't for the finishing of his club colleagues.

A video shared by @gdonlfc shows Alexander-Arnold creating a number of chances through his incredible vision and tremendous ability to pick out a pass.

He's producing big chances when it matters, setting up the likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane.

However, the clip titled 'let down' shows them doing exactly that to the 23-year-old this term.

Needless to say, Alexander-Arnold being 'let down' by his teammates got Liverpool fans talking online.

One Twitter user wrote: "I’m on my knees for us to get this Mane replacement right. Diaz is great but he can’t finish (yet). Salah great too but he isn’t getting TAA service. An elite bagsman and TAA ends on 25+ assists per season."

A second wrote: "There's about 10 assists in here he should have added to his tally. Bring me NUNEZ."

A third added: "18 assists and 27 big chances created, get us an elite finisher and he’s breaking more records than he already has done."

A fourth commented: "Give him a proper 9 to service and he’s grabbing another 20 more assists."

Alexander-Arnold had another superb campaign, with Salah the only player to have registered more assists than him in the Premier League.

His heroics in Europe also saw him be included in the Champions League Team of the Season.
