Graham Potter accused of wasting Chelsea January signing Noni Madueke

The forward was in incredible form for England under 21s, as they took on France, but he's struggled to get game time for Chelsea.

Fans have shared their annoyance with Chelsea boss Graham Potter over Noni Madueke, after the forward's highlights reel for England U21 emerged.

It seems that even when his team aren't playing, Potter is struggling not to come in for criticism, after a tough campaign at Chelsea following his move from Brighton.

He recently saved his job, after reportedly being given two games, and got his side through to the quarter finals of the Champions League.

But then came under fire for doing a 'cringey' skit with Ted Lasso earlier this week, with the Apple + show angering the Blues fans on two occasions.

With some big games to come in the Premier League in the near future, as well as the Champions League quarters against Real Madrid, Potter might have been hoping for a nice easy week.

Rather than worrying about what issue could next be coming his way, the former Brighton boss will have been just hoping none of his players got injured on international duty.

However, fans of the west London side spotted Madueke's performance for England U21s against France's youngsters, in which the forward scored and grabbed two assists.

The highlights are pretty glorious, and it led to the supporters to question why he'd being 'held back' by his manager at Stamford Bridge.

"Chelsea have got a real talent here but Potter is killing him," claimed one fan.

"And we prioritise Christian Pulisic over him!" said a second.

A third added, "I must say this, all the players we got this season are all good and great players just that we don't have a good manager to fix these boys and make them blend with the team."

Another replied, "Nice display but instead, Harry Potter would have him sitting on the bench," magical stuff.

"Potter's killing Chelsea. Best team on paper, worst on the pitch. It's so painful," noted a fifth.

Suggesting that others are ahead of the former PSV player in the pecking order, another posted, "Potter would rather sub on Conor Gallagher."

"Hope Madueke’s wings won’t be cut by limited playing time at Chelsea and he can fulfil his potential," argued another supporter.

"Special talent" a final fan simply put it.

Madueke is one of the eight players who Chelsea signed in the January transfer window, joining from PSV for €35 million but he has played just four league games so far, with two of those off the bench.

Paul Merson claimed that Potter wasn't involved in signing all the players in the winter, and if that's the case it feels like Madueke might be in that category.

At just 21-years-old, the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster still has plenty of time to prove himself at Stamford Bridge.
