Casemiro's wife Anna Mariana Casemiro responds to claims he's been cheating for five years

Casemiro's wife Anna Mariana Casemiro responds to claims he's been cheating for five years

The Manchester United star was accused of cheating on his wife for many years going back to his time at Real Madrid.

Casemiro's wife has responded to accusations that the Manchester United star has been cheating on her for the past five years.

A year ago Casemiro was no doubt still celebrating winning a fifth Champions League title with Real Madrid, after they beat Liverpool in the final.

Few would have expected at that time that the Brazilian would end up at a United team who were bottom of the Premier League table when he arrived.

The 31-year-old showed an incredible mentality even before he arrived at Old Trafford, telling his agent that he'd 'fix' the issues at the club.

Fans were even more impressed with his mentality after the FA Cup final defeat at the weekend, telling everyone that Erik ten Hag's side weren't 'back' and had work to do.

But off the field not everything has been so perfect for the former Real star, with accusations that he has been cheating on his wife for a long period of time.

The claims came from Brazilian outlet Leo Dias who said that the affair with the Barcelona-based model had gone on for five years until 2022.

Now the player's wife Anna Mariana Casemiro has hit back at the accusations, taking to social media to say: "Oh man, really? Best to investigate your sources first, I just look around and know it's not him."

The pair have been together since he was first making a name for himself in football at Sao Paulo in 2011 and got married three years later.

They have two children together, seven-year-old daughter Sara, and two-year-old son, Caio. The player hasn't responded to the allegations.

His only post since Saturday's loss to Manchester City read: "Thank you all for this first great season and above all for your love towards my family and towards me.

"I feel at home. I read you and I hear everyone say that Manchester United is back, but this is only the beginning of our journey.

"The greatness of this club and this shield must force us to demand more of ourselves. Much more. Here defeat is not acceptable and the glory days must return. For that I have come. Come on United!!"

His performances in his debut campaign in England helped United reach the cup final, finish third in the Premier League and win the Carabao Cup.
