Viral video of Casemiro playing WITHOUT his boot has Man United fans hailing his elite mentality

Manchester United fans are loving a clip of Casemiro playing WITHOUT a boot during his side's draw against Barcelona on Thursday.

Barca and Man United played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou, with the return leg set for next Thursday at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag will be hoping for a repeat performance as his team dictated the play, with Marcus Rashford continuing his fine form in front of goal.

He wasn't the only Man United player who shone against the La Liga outfit as Casemiro put in another stellar shift in the middle of the park.

He not only owned Gavi, but also played without his boot as a clip shows Casemiro taking off his footwear before continuing play.

The viral video of the 30-year-old has fans hailing his elite mentality and passion for the game.

One Twitter user wrote: "He always looks like he never ever panics or gets tired."

It wasn't just fans who were praising the Brazil international as Man United legend Paul Scholes hailed the summer signing's importance to the team.

"The biggest plus is Casemiro. As soon as Casemiro came into this team, the team [was] transformed," he said on BT Sport.

"He's almost like the manager on the football pitch - he's like a coach, doing the manager's job on there. Especially with young players coming into the team today.

"I can't tell you how important it is to have that player in the middle of the pitch who's so dominant and stays there, plays the position perfectly well. It gives everyone, the attacking players, it just gives them freedom.

"You know you don't have to be running back and sprinting - well, you do sprint back, of course you do - but you've just got that licence to get forward and be creative, because you know there's that solid base of great experience who's played for Brazil, Real Madrid, won so many trophies - it's just brilliant to know what you've got behind you."
