Union Berlin manager is sent off for putting hands on Bayern Munich's Leroy Sane in shocking scenes

Union Berlin manager is sent off for putting hands on Bayern Munich's Leroy Sane in shocking scenes

Union Berlin boss Nenad Bjelica could be hit with a big ban after putting his hands on Leroy Sane.

Union Berlin boss Nenad Bjelica will surely have a big ban coming his way after putting his hands on Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane.

Bayern ran out 1-0 winners in the Bundesliga clash, with Raphael Guerreiro bagging the only goal of the game just after half-time.

But there was huge controversy late in the second half at the Allianz Arena when Sane was involved in a shocking moment with the opposition manager.

Bizarrely, with his side trailing by a goal, Bjelica held onto the ball and refused to hand it to the former Manchester City winger.

He tried to slap it out of Bjelica's hand and he responded by shoving him in the face on two occasions in quick succession.

A brawl ensued involving both sets of players and including debutant Eric Dier, and in the end Bjelica was unsurprisingly given his marching orders by man in the middle Frank Willenborg.

However, he did not depart the touchline without a fuss. He continued to vent as he made his way to the executive boxes and looked like he wanted a fight with Bayern supporters.

Staff members had to restrain him and calm him down as he watched the final minutes from the stands.

Bayern are now four points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who they face in a huge clash on 10 February.
