Fans were quick to react after watching Jobe Bellingham’s Borussia Dortmund debut against Fluminense at the Club World Cup.
Jobe, 19, joined Borussia Dortmund on a five-year contract until June 2030 last week.
Sunderland are due to receive a fee of around £26.96m plus £4.2m in add-ons.

Of course, by joining Dortmund, Jobe has drawn comparisons with his older brother Jude, who also played for the German side before joining Real Madrid in 2023.
And on Tuesday (June 17), the younger of the pair made his debut for his new side during the Club World Cup group stage.
Jobe was introduced 59 minutes into Dortmund’s 0-0 draw against Brazilian outfit Fluminense at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Fans were quick to give their thoughts on his performance.

One said: "Awesome debut! Jobe Bellingham looks sharp in that Dortmund kit, making his mark at the Club World Cup. Can’t wait to see more from him!"
Another added: "He’s just swinging side passes like proper EFL midfielder - nothing special about him!"
A third commented: "Uncanny resemblance with his brother."

While a fourth explained: "There's nothing special except the media PR. This guy is bang average and is only carried by the hype that's also carrying his Real Madrid brother. Stop this rubbish!"
Jobe explained how it was an "incredible feeling" to sign for the German side when he spoke to the club's website last week.
“It's an incredible feeling," said Jobe. "It's a great privilege, because it's the dream of many players - and for a few weeks now it's been my dream too. I'm very happy to be here.”

He added: "The last three weeks have honestly been incredible for me. There have been so many great moments. This is one of them, of course. Signing for Borussia Dortmund, but of course the final and the whole of the play-offs at my previous club were something that meant a lot to me. It was very special and I was happy that I was able to finish with that result."
It is still unclear exactly what role the England youth international will play in Nico Kovac's side, given the fact that he is making a huge step up from the English Championship to the German top flight. But if his brother's progression is anything to go by, Jobe should develop into a fine midfielder.
