Bayern Munich source confirmed what dressing room really thinks of Harry Kane compared to Robert Lewandowski

Bayern Munich source confirmed what dressing room really thinks of Harry Kane compared to Robert Lewandowski

Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur over the summer.

Bayern Munich sources have confirmed what players at the club think about Harry Kane compared to Robert Lewandowski.

Kane completed a €100 million move to the Bundesliga giants from boyhood side Tottenham Hotspur over the summer.

The 30-year-old has certainly hit the ground running in Germany, scoring 32 goals in 28 league games, plus six in the Champions League.

Kane is an influential figure on and off the pitch. In fact, the German press have referred to him as 'King Kane' and per The Athletic, his teammates are 'in awe' at his self-confidence and genuine humility.

Earlier this month, Thomas Muller and Jamal Musiala heaped praised on the England captain.

Muller said: "We’re so pleased we have him in the team.

"It’s just the experience. The moves and actions he’s made over his career weren’t left behind in England. He’s shown that with the utmost brilliance since he’s worn red and white."

While Musiala added: "I expected high [standards] but not as high as he's delivered so far, it's even easier to play with him than I thought.

"I feel very comfortable with Harry, he plays amazing passes. I can run in behind and he'll find me."

It's a stark contrast to former striker Lewandowski, who departed Bayern for Barcelona in 2022.

Lewandowski won eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League during his eight years at the Allianz Arena, although his exit caught many by surprise.

The Poland international's attitude reportedly rubbed his teammates the wrong way.

It's believed Lewandowski only cared about his own goal record rather than the team.

A source said: "But you always got the sense he’s [Lewandowski] doing it for himself, not the club. For Kane, it’s all about the team winning. He’s the perfect role model for everyone else with that kind of attitude."

Lewandowski was criticised for 'ignoring' 16-year-old Lamine Yamal in a 2-1 win over Alaves. He's since claimed it was a total accident.

The trust in Kane extends to Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel. He's one of the few Bayern players Tuchel consults about tactics on a regular basis, despite not being the most vocal.

A source added: "He doesn’t talk that much but when he does, people listen."
