PSG vs. Borussia Dortmund

Thomas Tuchel doesn't have the best of records against his former club, in fact in the eleven games he has faced Borussia Dortmund he has lost on eight of the occasions, winning just the once. Nothing but another win will do for the PSG man tonight as his side trails 2-1 to the Germans. Since the first leg the Parisians have been in fine form, winning all three of their matches and scoring thirteen in the process, that's at least four goals in each game! PSG will certainly need their world-record signing Neymar, the Brazilian playmaker has been directly involved in twenty-seven goals in his twenty-one games for PSG across all competitions this season, including the away goal in the first-leg against Dortmund. Neymar's partner in crime, Kylian Mbappé this week tested negative for Coronavirus and has been included in the squad however could start on the sidelines due to illness. The Frenchman will be gunning to get in on the action having been directly involved in more goals than any other player for PSG this season with a staggering thirty goals and seventeen assists. Borussia Dortmund on the other hand have their own dangermen leading their attack, their January signing Erling Braut Håland has already proven to be some of the best business made in world football. The Norwegian youngster has found no difficulty transitioning from the Austrian Bundesliga, where he scored twenty-eight goals in twenty-two games this season, to the German Bundesliga, where he is currently sitting at an impressive twelve goals in ten games. In fact it was Håland's brace in the first-leg that has given Dortmund their lead over Les Rouge et Bleu. Håland, as always, is supported by the lightning quick pace and flair of Englishman Jadon Sancho. The young winger is currently sitting on fifteen league assists this season just short of Lionel Messi and Thomas Müller.

As previously mentioned Kylian Mbappé this week tested negative for Coronavirus, however the forward does still have an illness and although he has been included in the matchday squad could start the game on the bench. PSG will, however, be without Marco Verratti and Thomas Meunier who are both suspended after picking up yellow cards in the reverse fixture. Thomas Tuchel will also be without veteran centre-back Thiago Silva, who has not been included in the matchday squad due to a hamstring injury sustained last month. Other notable misses include Ander Herrera, Idrissa Gueye and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Lucien Favre on the other hand is almost without any injury concerns, unfortunately one of the two players missing is German playmaker Marco Reus who is out after picking up a muscle injury against Werder Bremen. The only other doubt is Danish midfielder Thomas Delaney who has been out since November after picking up an ankle ligament injury on international duty.

Atletico Madrid vs. Liverpool

If there's one team you don't want to be breaking down to score against its Diego Simeone's Atlético Madrid. Los Colchoneros have kept sixteen clean sheets in the thirty-six matches they have played this season and just as impressive have only conceded twenty-eight goals, that's an average of just 0.78 per game! A large proportion of that praise has to be given to goalkeeper Jan Oblak, the Slovenian international is often touted as one of the best goalkeepers in world football and after seeing the game-changing saves he makes on a by match basis it's hard to argue. It's the other side of the field Atlético have struggled with this season, after the departure of Antoinne Griezmann, Diego Simeone has struggled to fill that void with João Félix struggling to find the net as freely as he did at Benfica last season. Former Chelsea man Álvaro Morata is the only player to score ten plus goals this season, sitting with eleven in the thirty-one matches he has played across all competitions.
