Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha combine to score outrageous winner for Barcelona

Raphinha scored a beautifully crafted headed goal for Barcelona during their La Liga clash against Osasuna.

Xavi’s side were looking to extend their lead at the top of the table after Real Madrid’s defeat by Rayo Vallecano. However, their night got off to a horrid start after a sixth-minute goal by David Garcia gave the home side the lead.

In the 31st minute, Barcelona’s task became even harder after Robert Lewandowski was shown a second yellow card for a rash challenge on Garcia.

As the half-time whistle went, Barcelona were already a goal and a man down. The red mist continued to descend onto Barcelona as Gerard Pique was given a straight red card in what was his last ever match as a professional player.

Pique was seen having stern words with the assistant referee and followed match official Jesus Gil down the tunnel, which eventually led to his dismissal.

In the second half, Pedri dragged Barcelona level in the 48th minute.

With 85 minutes on the clock, a moment of magic from Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha was enough to help Barcelona get the go-ahead go.

Dutch midfielder De Jong played an outrageous pass over the defence for Raphinha, who made a perfectly timed run.

With the ball looping towards him, the Brazilian produced a stunning header which looped over Osasuna goalkeeper Aitor.

That goal was enough to secure all three points for the Camp Nou side as they widened their lead at the top of the La Liga table to five points. Madrid are next in action on Thursday as they take on Cadiz.
