Arsenal could be about to complete Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber signings as Emirates 'clue' spotted

The signings could be completed.

An Emirates Stadium ‘clue’ has led fans to believe Arsenal could be about to announce the signings of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.

The Gunners have been busy in the transfer window, having already signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea for £65million and agreed a £105million deal for West Ham captain Rice.

While the overall fee for Rice has been agreed upon, talks reportedly continued through the weekend between the two clubs over the payment structure of the transfer.

Indeed, though Rice is free to discuss personal terms and have his Arsenal medical, there is allegedly still work to do before the clubs find a resolution.

Meanwhile, last week it was claimed Arsenal had agreed a £40million deal for Timber, with the Ajax defender set to undergo a medical, having already agreed personal terms.

And fans are now hoping Arsenal can get both deals over the line, with the club returning for pre-season this week.

Rice and Timber clue

Arsenal fans have noticed that the Emirates Stadium tours will close today (July 3) at 1pm, due to “club activity” at the ground.

The stadium will then close once more on Saturday, July 8, for the same reason.

This has led some fans to believe Rice and Timber will be at the ground during those times for their media duties ahead of an announcement.

Indeed, that could entail filming their announcement clip and taking part in a photoshoot.

Rice’s transfer breaks down as a £100m initial fee plus £5m in performance-related add-ons. The offer smashes Arsenal's transfer record - the £72m they paid Lille for Nicolas Pepe in 2019.

Moreover, should the add-ons be paid, Rice would become the most expensive British player in history, surpassing the £100million Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish.
