Arsenal have announced that Ovie Ejeheri has joined Finnish side SJK Seinajoki on loan.

The table toppers have been in the thick of the January window, working hard to sign players with the pedigree to consolidate their eight-point cushion at the top of the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s side saw three bids for No.1 target Mykhailo Mudryk rejected, only for the 22-year-old wide man to sign for Chelsea in an eye-watering £89million deal last weekend.

Arsenal are now said to be in talks with Brighton over the signing of want-away forward Leandro Trossard.

While the league leaders are yet to have made an official offer for the Belgium international, they will reportedly formalise their initial interest into a bid.

However, the Gunners are also likely to see departures before the January 31st transfer deadline from players in the youth ranks and those on the fringes.

Ejeheri secures Arsenal move

Ejeheri has left Arsenal to join SJK on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 19-year-old had returned to Hale End after completing a loan spell at Chelmsford City, where he made 23 appearances for the National League South side in all competitions.

Indeed at Chelmsford Ejeheri kept an impressive 11 clean sheets and conceded just 17 goals.

The Athletic claims Arsenal are keen for their younger keepers to gain European experience to boost their exposure and value.

Ejeheri departs the same week 21-year-old shot-stopper Arthur Okonkwo landed a loan at Austria’s Sturm Graz after cutting short a spell at Crewe.

Both moves have been seen as opportunities for the respective players to test themselves at a high level.

Ejeheri will be working in an elite environment at SJK, with the club competing to qualify for the Champions League, Europa League or Conference League.
