"Love his style..." - Fabregas singles out Arsenal star for praise during West Ham win

He's been excellent this season.

Cesc Fabregas singled out Martin Odegaard for praise during Arsenal's comeback win against West Ham.

Mikel Arteta's side extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to seven points with a 3-1 win at the Emirates on Monday night.

Arsenal fell behind to a first-half penalty from Said Benrahma but three goals in 16 second-half minutes turned the match on its head.

England international Bukayo Saka levelled for the home side before Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal the lead six minutes later.

Eddie Nketiah, starting up front in place of the injured Gabriel Jesus, added a third for Arsenal to secure an impressive victory for the hosts in their first Premier League game back after the winter break.

Odegaard grabbed two assists, setting up the first and third goals for Arsenal, and former Gunners midfielder Fabregas was particularly impressed by the Norwegian's performance.

During the second half, he wrote on Twitter: "Odegaard is really at it today. Love his style."

Odegaard: I want to do something special at Arsenal

Arsenal captain Odegaard has already scored six goals and provided four assists in all competitions for the club this season.

After the match, the Norway international dismissed suggestions he could leave the club in January amid reports linking him with Premier League rivals Liverpool.

"There is not much that can lure me away from here. I have a very good time here," he said.

"The way it is now, I can see myself being here for several years.

"I want to do something special here. Take part in shaping the club and winning things. That is the big goal. The plan is certainly to be here for a while.

"I've moved a lot over the years. Landing a bit and feeling like I'm in a place where I'm going to be, that's a good feeling. Hopefully I will be here for many years.

"When I came here, I really felt at home from day one. I was received very well, everything was very natural. I felt like part of the team and the group from the start, so it felt very good to come here.

"Very nice people in the club. People who care about you and who really want you to succeed, who really try to do their part for you to succeed and who have a bit of the same passion that I have, I feel, to really get better and work on things."
