Arsenal fan creates viral video of every decision that went against them vs Man United

An Arsenal fan felt his team were on the receiving end of a slew of refereeing decisions in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.

An Arsenal fan has put together a viral video of every decision that went against them in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.

The Gunners' perfect start to the season came to an end at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Marcus Rashford bagging a brace after Bukayo Saka had cancelled the opener from United's new £86 million signing Antony.

Arsenal had a goal disallowed from Gabriel Martinelli after VAR ruled Martin Odegaard had fouled Christian Eriksen in the build-up.

Mikel Arteta bemoaned the lack of consistency in the officiating and that point was furthered by Arsenal supporter @GoonerWez on Twitter.

He shared a video, lasting 52 seconds, to highlight the fouls from United that largely went unpunished. Two of the key clips focus on Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane's dealing of Gabriel Jesus.

Both were not cautioned in the game despite the challenges they put on the Brazilian, while Wez was furious that William Saliba received a yellow card from Paul Tierney for "his first foul" when he brought down Jadon Sancho.

What's more, Scott McTominay has been branded a "cheat and a caveman" for his persistent fouling. Martinelli and Jesus were both brought down cynically by the Scotland international, who was eventually carded after a string of offences.

It wasn't quite the 'Battle of the Buffet' between United and Arsenal in 2004, where referee Mike Riley was guilty of getting a lot wrong and there could have been two or three red cards.

But clearly Arsenal fans are feeling hard done by and the aforementioned video has garnered nearly 700,000 views.

However, in response, United supporters have pointed out that Jesus took a swipe at Martinez and Albert Sambi Lokonga produced a shocker of a tackle on Bruno Fernandes.

Both sides are back in action on Thursday in the Europa League, with United hosting Real Sociedad and Arsenal taking on FC Zurich.
