Arsenal are expected to announce a new deal for Bukayo Saka before the end of the season, according to reports.

Saka has been in electric form for the Gunners this season, playing a crucial role in Mikel Arteta's title bid.

The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in the Premier League this season, becoming the only player in the top flight to reach double figures for goals and assists.

And the Englishman looks set to commit his long-term future to the club before the campaign is finished, claim The Independent.

Discussions over a new deal have been ongoing since last summer, although both sides were said to be on the same page throughout negotiations.

Saka set to sign new contract

The report states that an 'agreement has all-but been reached' over a new deal, with the winger set for a major pay rise.

It is also believed that promotional footage has been recorded to be released alongside the announcement, which is now imminent.

The news will come as a huge relief to supporters, who will be relying on the winger for next season's busy Champions League schedule.

But while Saka is poised to extend his stay at the Emirates, Granit Xhaka could decide to call time on his Arsenal career.

The 30-year-old is allegedly wanted by Bayer Leverkusen and could choose to take up the challenge, with his place in the first-team under threat following rumours linking Declan Rice with a move to north London.
