A stunning compilation of Anthony Martial's 45-minute outing against Liverpool shows he was electric up front for Manchester United.

Martial starred as Man United registered their first win of the new Premier League season by beating Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford on Monday.

The Frenchman entered the fray at the break and wasted no time making an impact as he superbly created his side's second goal.

He beat Virgil van Dijk to the ball and skipped past Jordan Henderson's challenge to set up Marcus Rashford who slotted home.

Aside from his assist, Martial was lively in attack. He held up the ball nicely and linked brilliantly with his teammates.

Martial led the line and gave Van Dijk problems, making himself a constant threat throughout the second half.

The 26-year-old almost bagged another assist as he nearly created a chance for Donny van de Beek after skinning Kostas Tsimikas.

Twitter user @martialxtra_ shared a video of Martial's individual highlights and it makes for incredible viewing.

Man United fans online loved his appearance against Liverpool.

One Twitter user commented: "This is one the best 45mins I've ever seen from a striker, it's too good."

A second tweeted: "45 min played and was the best attacker on the pitch."

A third wrote: "Been supporting him from the trenches and now he is back to his best."

Another added: "Martial is going to be influential this season."

Erik ten Hag liked what he saw from Martial as he praised his performance.

"With him [Martial], he wasn't available for 90 minutes after his injury, but he gives on the ball a way out for the team," explained the Dutchman.

"He can be a target, he knows the right positions and he has the skills to play through. We saw that with the second goal.

"It was the right moment to bring him on the pitch."

Martial could start in attack when Man United resume their campaign on Saturday against Southampton.
