Anthony Martial told the ball boy to slow down in 'high-end time-wasting' during Liverpool win

Anthony Martial shrewdly told the ball boy to slow down in 'high-end time-wasting' during Manchester United's big win over Liverpool on Monday. Check it out below:

Martial entered the fray at the break and played a huge role in his side's second goal.

He brilliantly slid a pass to Marcus Rashford, who slotted past Alisson to make it 2-0.

But Martial's assist wasn't his only contribution to the game as he showed off his time-wasting skills late on.

After a duel with Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas, Martial saw the ball go out of play for a corner kick.

As the ball boy retrieved the ball, the Frenchman told the young lad to slow down to waste a little bit of time.

He gestured to the ball boy before embracing him.

Martial then leisurely strolled to the corner flag as Man United held on for the win to earn their first points of the new Premier League season.

It's a far cry from Anthony Elanga's approach in their crushing defeat to Brentford as he helped his opponents hit a counter attack.

Naturally, Martial's exchange with the ball boy got Man United fans talking online.

One tweeted: "High-end waste timing from my king Tony."

A second commented: "Kid looking at the linesman! So scared."

A third added: "It just shows how far the team has grown and gotten a bit savvier."

Another referenced Elanga: "Elanga had his team 4-0 and was helping the opposition start another fast counter attack while his team mates were still out of position like they were his team mate."

Martial replaced Elanga at half time and produced an electric performance up front.

His impressive second half showing could force his way into Erik ten Hag's starting XI when they resume their campaign on Saturday against Southampton.
