Arsenal captain Alexandre Lacazette nearly went into another dimension after being shoved by Aston Villa's John McGinn.

Things got very spicy in Arsenal's 1-0 win away at Villa, with plenty of tackles flying in and a bit of afters to go with it.

At one point, Arsenal players were surrounding the referee following a challenge from Tyrone Mings on Bukayo Saka.

Lacazette bolted right over to remonstrate but Scotland international McGinn was having absolutely none of it.

McGinn, from out of nowhere, gave the Frenchman a big old push and he ended up a few yards away, on his back and with his legs up in the air as if he'd just been on the receiving end of a Batista Bomb.

The clip went viral on social media, with fans loving the exaggerated fall.

But at the same time, plenty of Arsenal were furious that McGinn was not punished for his shove.

After losing 2-0 to Liverpool at home on Wednesday, Arsenal bounced back with a crucial win in the Midlands thanks to Saka's first half strike.

It's now five away wins in a row for Mikel Arteta's side, who occupy the final Champions League spot and are four points clear of Manchester United with a game in hand.
